Founded in 2001 as a father-son project, the company has developed into a successful medium-sized family business with over 40 employees and more than 30,000 items in stock. Today, W+A is a sought-after partner for wholesale, industry, trade and mechanical engineering – regionally rooted and internationally valued.
Our history
From a garage to a leading wholesaler.
Our milestones over the past 25 years.
The need has been recognized. The first bearings are sold from a garage in Tettnang, near Lake Constance. Hugo and Sven Bäuerle, father and son, found W + A Wälzlager- und Antriebstechnik GmbH in equal shares as partners and managing directors.
W + A becomes a trading partner of NSK Deutschland GmbH. And: The new, invitingly bright company building in Langenargen can be occupied: with 300 square meters of office space, 1,000 square meters of storage space - and potential for the future.
Change at the top: Anika Bäuerle becomes the new Managing Director. Hugo Bäuerle will continue to support W+A as a consultant.
Major re-launch: The W+A webshop has been completely revised and is now available with all kinds of modern and updated functions.
Sustainability is important to us: W+A is now officially WIN Charter certified and committed to sustainable, regional projects.
The company is celebrating its 25th anniversary. W+A now employs almost 40 people.
